Interests

This is a casual group that normally rides on paved trails at a moderate speed. Helmets are required. Times and Locations vary weekly but normally we ride on Saturday mornings. A notice will be sent out every Thursday evening by email. If you have any questions contact "Z" below.

A trip leader works in conjunction with the VP of Trips to manage the trip signups and logistics of taking the group on a designated trip. The Trip Leader’s trip is significantly discounted. Good organizational and communication skills, travel experience, and a desire to help others have fun are the most important factors in this job. Trip Leaders for ski trips are assigned during the early summer months so please express you interest in being a Trip Leader by contacting the Trips VP no later than May.

The Social Committee works with all aspects of interest groups and events that are not Trip related. Includes assistance in planning events, the logistics, and publicity of those events. As interest groups are forming, works to get those established, find leaders and provides overall support for all such groups.

The Finance/Audit Team is primarily responsible for financial audits of each trip after they return. The team ensures good fiscal controls are in place and are applied consistently when managing trip monies, collections, and refund.

The Webmaster and assistants have primary responsibility for keeping the content on the Club website up to date. A detailed knowledge of web programming is not necessary. The maintenance function of the website is critical to its overall effectiveness and usefulness to its members and multiple people can be used to help maintain various aspects of the website.

Assist the VP of Membership at meeting or event checkins for members and guests. Provide name tags, collect fees from guests, and serve as a welcoming club member to those attending.

The Newsletter editor produces the electronic newsletter bi-monthly providing updates regarding club events, trips and what's on the horizon. The editor always welcomes articles written by members.

The Club officers and associated responsibilities include President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, VP of Trips, VP of Trips-Elect, and VP of Membership. Board meetings are approximately six times per year. Nominations for election are held in March and the election takes place at the April Club meeting.

This team is not currently active but from time to time the Board may determine they need help on promoting the club and we are always looking for people with an eye to how we can market ourselves better.
